This is just a place for me to post my characters, mainly for my reference and stuff, but you can check em out if you want. I probably have wayyyy to many, but whatever. If you wanna talk or ask me anything, you can. I'm fairly nice, despite my lack of social skills. I promise that I'll try to talk to you!

Re: Forbidden World
Kieran Abbey
At twenty years old, Kieran is kind of a pathetic excuse for an adult. Two decades have passed and he's never made out with anyone. He's never even kissed anyone. He's never looked into the eyes of someone who made his hands shake so bad that it feels like they're both having separate anxiety attacks.
He doesn't know his way around the bedroom, but he has perfected the art of making his bed. Flunking classes is his forte, and he's the master at getting fired from jobs that everyone says are no-brainers. He can beat a video game in a weekend, and he's always been good for eating the leftovers in your fridge. He can't cook to save his life unless it's top ramen or grilled cheese or something simple like that. If you're looking for someone to torture you with long, pointless, and terribly boring stories, Kieran is your guy. He can watch Netflix for days on end. It helps him lose track of what day it is. He has tattoos that have very little to no meaning and tattoos that have all to much meaning.
All of this causes him so much guilt and self blame that he can go for days without eating more than a cracker or a slice of pie. Is it really possible that he's been alive for twenty years and no one has ever looked at him like he's the only person on earth? Is he really that generic that no one bothered to notice him?
He falls in love temporarily, every person he meets able to hold his affection for a small portion of time. The people he sees on public transport can make his hands clammy and waiters and waitresses can jumble his thoughts. For him, it's a coping mechanism for not having anyone to love him back. One day he is sure to break into a million pieces from all of the fleeting loves he's watched fly by his window.

Re: Forbidden World
Lupin O'Callihan
Lupin isn't really a dime a dozen when it comes to people. He's more like your distant cousin who you don't like to visit because he was raised on the road in some VW van, growing up on some sort of hippie diet that restricts him from eating anything from a fast food restaurant. Well, if you said that around him, he'd just mumble something about how its called vegetarian, and it's saving the animals. He'd also tell you that he's not a hippie. The appropriate term is jaded, according to his friends.
Another good adjective that was practically created for Lupin would be pretentious. He's pretentious in the way he knows art and he talks about it using big words that aren't part of a normal person's vocabulary. He's pretentious in the way he spends way too much on bread with fifteen different grains in it when he could easily buy the cheap nine grain that's just as healthy. And he's sure pretentious in the way he's always wearing a crown of flowers in his hair.
Pretentious people have artsy friends who paint and draw and take pictures and model and sing and play music. Lupin isn't really an exception to that. His bratty attitude doesn't change when he's alone. His usual night is spent drinking a bottle of jack and smoking a whole pack at a local park whilst feeling sorry for himself and his life that is seeming to go nowhere. He hates his teaching job and his only real happiness in life is centered around his roommate and his cat, Duchess.
He's one of those hipsters even though he swears that he hates hipsters. He uses a Polaroid camera, hitchhikes everywhere, and listens to music that is unable to be categorized by a genre. He likes to skip out on work, and it's a wonder he hasn't been fired. He doesn't laugh; it's more of a giggle. He's terribly flamboyant but he always manages to get away with flirting with whomever he chooses. You can't really yell at him when he bites his bottom lip and looks so innocent. The thing is, he's not. He's a nineteen year old flower child with not enough innocence and too much daring for his own good.

Re: Forbidden World
Alistair Hopkins
If one were to attempt to describe Alistair in a few words, they may compare him to a Tuesday 2 am, lacking the elegance and grace that one may expect of the young man. His personality is similar to that of a broken window in February -- bitter cold and impossible to overlook. Most people could even view the young chef as standoffish. One would think that, after twenty-six years, he would have gotten the hang of living like a normal person, but he has yet to do so. That he finds more embarrassing than most anything else in his life.
He is constantly apologizing to anyone who will listen for the awkward sadness that plagues him every day and bleeds out of his pores. It is a seemingly contageous state of mind that catches on to people if they stick around for too long. The way he feels weak to the core makes him shy away from human contact of any kind -- conversations, attachments, and everything in between. He feels as though everyone is born and given a set of instructions on how to live life, but someone forgot to give him his. The whole of it makes him feel like he doesn't fit in with anyone who he has ever met, and it causes him some despair.
He's usually found alone, though not by choice. It tends to end with people feeling sympathetic for him, but they never do anything about it. He doesn't make firends easy because he's great at saying the wrong things. Thanks to all of these dark feelings that seem to weigh him down and his perpetual solitude, he has become a wonderful cook. He has a lot of time to make new recipes and perfect them.
He usually spends his spare time in the gym or watching old movies with awful plots. He likes music, and when he's in a good mood, he'll turn on his radio really loud and sing and dance along. If he needs anything, its for someone to come save him from himself.

Re: Forbidden World
Malachi Weaver
An old zen adage says "You should meditate for twenty minutes everyday unless you're too busy; then you should sit for an hour." It is a quote by which Malachi Weaver lives his whole life. He often says that meditation gets him into a mode in which he is more empathetic and calm. Meditation is a better teacher than any of the college professors whose classes he has to sit through. Thanks to his daily routine, he is a very calm person who considers himself one with the world.
He studied abroad in Asia for a year in high school where he learned a lot about Buddhism, martial arts, and he began to study weight distribution. He has begun to develop his own type of excersize using weight distribution. It doesn't involve any raising of heart rate because it has to do with strengthening muscles instead. Due to his studies, he is very graceful in the way he moves.
Aside from his grace, he has learned how to read people with extreme accuracy. He can see things in facial expressions and movements -- little ticks that he give away a lot more than people think. He can use posture, word choice, and a lot of other simple things to detect small details about people. Another way he finds things out about people is their eyes. He believes that eyes are the windows to people's souls, and it helps him read their emotions. On the flip side, he is extremely difficult to read because he was always a mask of calm. Not that there is much to read. He's extremely open about himself and if you ask a question, he is guaranteed to answer with the truth.
He has a strong belief in karma, and does the right thing almost all the time. He is also very worldly -- not connected to any sorts of objects or material things. He finds that he has a lot of faith in the human race and is always looking at the bright side of things. It makes him a very happy person, but he doesn't overly project his happiness. He is a very subdued guy, and it gives him this earthly and calm aura that makes most people feel at ease around him.

Re: Forbidden World
Caine Parry
You've never met someone as twisted and unempathetic as Caine Perry. He's one of those people who make others shudder by the simple fact that he doesn't value human life as he should. He views the whole of it as a big game, and each person is a player. Some happen to be more skilled at the game than others, and sometimes people lose prematurely. It's just his luck that he happens to be wonderful at manuvering through the game that is life. The main problem is that he gets too bored with the daily humdrum of life going on the same every single day. Little tweaks in his daily life don't much help him feel any sort of excitement. It takes something big to make him emote.
He speaks only when he finds it necessary to speak, and he's very good at being alone. Even if you're around, he's likely to ignore you or say something that makes you feel stupid. But he does expect that, if he asks for something, you will help him. He doesn't pay attention to what's going on around him when he is doing his work, and it can tend to drive some people up the wall.
When he needs to think he plays music or writes or takes pictures. He isn't the greatest photographer; he's very good at piano and writing, though. It helps his mind work faster than if he just sat there thinking. Another way that he helps the cogs spin, is talking alloud to himself. Usually it's nonsensical rambling, but sometimes people can make a little bit out of it.
He's clever, someone who can think on his toes. His intelligence is very obvious as he doesn't much try to hide it. People's opinions on his arrogance don't much matter to him because he knows that he's smart. He doesn't make friends easily because he doesn't listen to what they say and he's better at working alone. He's too proud for his own good.
It doesn't take him much to figure out the facts of someone -- where they've been, what they do often, if thy have kids, and plenty of more things depending upon the person. He uses little things like their clothes or the way they hold their phone. Even the smallest action can key him into who they are.

Re: Forbidden World
Elliot Burns
The benevolent leader-Elliot is something of an oddity in his field. As a business CEO, one would expect him to be a harsh, ruthless leader with no sympathy for his employees. Most others in his position are found ordering their employees around and are a generally hated sort of people. He, on the other hand, is an extremely loved young man at the head of an overly progressive company. To many people, twenty-five years isn't much experience to be running a globally known company, but he does his job fairly well for being so young.
He's a good boss, taking pay cuts in his own salary before firing a capable employee. He still makes a considerable amount of money, though. He's one of those selfless guys who puts everyone else before himself, and maybe it isn't always the greatest thing for him.
Other than his golden retriever-like loyalty to everyone an anyone he trusts, he's incredibly flakey and forgetful. He always has to have a folder full of notes that really aren't that organized. At the meetings with his advisors and board of directory, they are all made to sit on the floor. Another one of his odd quirks is that no one is allowed to wear shoes during big meetings. He runs a very Eco-friendly, new age company, and everything is recycled something. It may seem weird but he is very conscious of the world. His company houses a smaller number of employees because he fought to give everyone their own office that they can personalize to however they want. He's often caught helping those on the fringes of society get back on their feet. Maybe it's cliche but he has a lot of faith in humanity, giving homeless people money and volunteering wherever he can.
He is easy to use because of his unfailing trust in people. While all of the times he has been used may have forced others to look at reality through a less rose tinted glass, Elliot refuses to give into that view of the world. He believes in hope.

Re: Forbidden World
Sterling Wakefield
A best-selling novelist with an alias. That’s who Sterling is. At least, that’s how his best friend looks at him. It’s crazy, really. Who wants to be on the New York Times’ Best Seller’s List and not get credit for their hard work? He claims that he doesn’t like the idea of being looked at like someone he’s not. He doesn’t want some mob of fans chasing him around and disrupting his peace. He doesn’t want people hounding him for another book. He just wants to do what he loves. So maybe it sounds a little crazy until you actually hear the whole story, but maybe Sterling is a little bit crazy.
He’s been known to talk to his plants. More specifically, reading and singing. Everyone thinks he’s gone absolutely off his rocker when they spot him out on his balcony, reading Ancient Philosophy out loud. He doesn’t mind being viewed as a bit odd because he knows that he is a bit odd.
He has a theatrical side, a part of him that yearns to be on the stage. He likes the feel of performing, and he has that loud voice that draws everyone’s attention with just a word if he so desires. Most of the time it’s more quiet, wispy. When he’s onstage his more outgoing, attention-seeking side shines through. He doesn’t mind being up there, all eyes on him, and not because they think there’s something wrong with him.
Writing is his real passion, though. You can almost never catch this charismatic guy without a pen and notebook in hand. He finds inspiration in the smallest of things and uses them to write something extraordinary. His favorite source of inspiration? The wisps of smoke from his cigarette. He also draws inspiration from going to new places, so he is often found getting ready to sneak off to some haunted house or go on a hike in the woods.

Re: Forbidden World
Leonardo Westbrook
You know that guy in school that everyone was jealous of-the guy who disappeared for a week and came back with a crazy story of some wild adventure that could be written about in some best-selling novel? Well, Leo is that guy. He could probably tell you stories that would make your jaw drop. He parties with actors, stands on stage with singers, and sleeps with models. And every time someone says that they don’t believe him, he manages to pull up some sort of undeniable proof of his ventures into the world of glamour. One time, he was seen at a movie premier with Emma Stone. Another time, there was a video of him singing with Macklemore at a concert in Seattle. He’s constantly conversing with his other celebrity friends via twitter.
Another one of his defining features is that fearless attitude that drives him to do whatever opportunity is offered to him. He believes that he should try everything at least once before he dies. Maybe it’s an impossible feat, but he intends to get as close to achieving it as possible. He’s done a lot of things for only being twenty-three years old.
Some might call him an adrenaline junkie. He craves that rush of endorphins swimming through his veins when he does something crazy and amazing. Some of the things he does are even life threatening. Because of this, the fear of life fled his mind long ago, finding itself replaced with a calm sort of acceptance. He knows that he’ll die one day-probably not by natural causes-and he is very accepting of this truth. This has allowed him to do things he never would have, like base jumping and swimming the English Channel, if he was still scared of the future.
The truth of the matter is, he has troubles making friends due to the fact that anyone he gets close to is afraid he might end up dying on one of his adventures. Therefore, he lives with a large group of halfway friends who like to hear about his adventures but won’t listen to his personal life. He doesn’t much mind because his travels are enough to keep him occupied.

Re: Forbidden World
Dean Winchester
Twenty-four years of hard work looks good on Dean. His hands were worn down rough, reading out a story of his life with the main recurring feature being work. Grease under the edges of his short fingernails indicate all of the time he spent in the mechanic shop that was his first job. It may surprise people that he also works at a bar -- that his rough hands could be deft enough to mix drinks with finesse. It may not be a fancy bar, but he has to look pretty while mixing drinks for customers. All this work wasn't just to get loads of money. Two to three jobs at a time was a constant thing since Dean turned sixteen. Before that, he was working at a family friend's mechanic shop. The reason for all this work was so he could pay the bills and send his little brother to a fancy private school. He had to pay bills at such a young age because his mother died when he was ten, and, a few years after, his dad turned to drinking to cope after all the other coping mechanisms didn't work.
He has a little brother who is his everything. He works to make money so he can take care of Sammy. Some of the money goes towards his dad (who stays with the mechanic shop owner) and rehab ventures. There is a strong protective instinct imbeded into Dean's personality, sitting right next to his trust issues. He refuses to believe that he can rely on anyone and is sure they will use what they gain out of him to hurt him. Flirting and one night stands, though, are his things.
Pride is his greatest weakness. He is too proud to ask for or accept any help from anyone. He went for so long doing everything that he doesn't like when people say he needs help with something. Besides his pride, independence, and brother, he uses classic rock and roll and refurbishing old cars to keep him going. He never cries in front of people, but in reality, he's quite an emotional person. Quick wit keeps people at an arms length. He does have a hint of anger issues, but he's good at keeping them hidden behind that charming smile -- just like all of his other emotions.
It's somewhat sad when you get to know him because you can see how exhausted and sad he really is. He trusts his dad who just keeps letting him down, and it takes a hit to him each time. He works all the time and is on his last quarter of college.

You literally aren't allowed to hate me for naming him Dean and using the personality. I tried to roleplay him once with a different personality and name. Didn't work. No hate guyssss :b

Re: Forbidden World
Cedric Beringer
You've heard of the preacher's daughter getting caught up in all kinds of trouble because she was sheltered? Well, Cedric is a preacher's daughter -- metaphorically of course. First of all, his father is a cop. It's really no better than a preacher, though, when it comes to being sheltered. Second, he's the son, not the daughter. Other than that, the saying is spot on. When he was young, he never got in trouble because he didn't want to disappoint his father, but as the years went on, Cedric began to loathe the fact that he had no sort of freedom. It was like he was being watched from behind every corner. He began to lash out, looking for some sort of liberation from the prudish lifestyle he seemed to be trapped in.
His light in the darkness was found in a pack of cigarettes. It may not have seemed like much, but, at age sixteen, he began smoking. Next came partying. Then illegal drag racing. Next came drinking. He began to spiral out of control. The only foothold on reality he had was soccer, and could that boy ever play. He was captain of the team, wanted by every college in the nation.
Soccer kept him on his toes, quick and agile, but power lifting kept him tough. He let go of drug use so he could be guaranteed a spot on any college soccer team he wanted, but cigarettes, racing, and drinking stayed by his side. These habits landed him in county jail on his eighteenth birthday. The arresting cop, his father. Since that day, he became estranged with his dad.
He's a happy sort of guy, nice enough to most everyone, but he has a temper. If you mess with him, he gets angry. He's the type of person who holds on to grudges too tightly and gets attached easily but would never admit it. He doesn't much believe in the idea of love because he likes the freedom of being single. As much as he likes company, he's a very independent person who is likely to disappear for days on end just so he can be alone. He likes heights and the outdoors. He's not too sharp when it comes to school, but he's the best athlete you probably know.
