Jasmine was sitting downstairs in Nicholes house, waiting for her friend to be finished packing. She herself had already packed, but since she was driving, she had decided to atop by her friend's house a little early. She was extremely excited for this trip, but at the same time a little anxious. As cliche as it sounds, Jasmine has had a bit of a crush on her best friend for awhile now. It sounded weird, she knew, and she knew it was pretty hopeless too. After all, why would Nichole go for her? A weird, awkwardly built girl that had a crush on her straight best friend. While Jasmine was thinking of all this for what seemed like the millionth time, she missed Nichole's voice as it echoed down the stairwell. Jasmine shrugged to herself, figuring that thinking about it too much would only kill her. She was playing the idea of telling her best friend over the break, but at the same time she didn't want to ask in case she got rejected. After all, it'd be awful to be in an amazing city with the one you loved but weren't allowed to like. Jasmine did a quick mental check and sighed satisfied as she distinctly remembered packing the gift she had for her friend in her suitcase. Well, she hoped anyways. She was always nervous about things going wrong in her life, so she liked to control it. She liked being in charge because then she'd have control of all the variables. In this case however, she had no clue what was going to happen. She was terribly excited for this trip, but terrified at the same time since she knew what she was going to do. She didn't want their friendship to be awkward afterwards which it most likely would be if Nichole said no to her request, but at the same time, she couldn't help but hope for the other side of the spectrum, thinking about how amazing NYC could be at night as a couple.
